Profile
Anita is a partner in the Administrative Law group. She advises and litigates in the areas of general administrative law and environmental law (spatial planning, environment, conservation of nature, air quality, water and sustainability).
She assists public bodies, project developers and housing corporations in complex regional development projects, the development of houses and office buildings, large establishments subject to environmental rules, schools, hospitals, and road constructions. Besides, she focuses on the theme ‘Smart City’: regulations in place for Smart City applications in the public space. She helps her clients obtain the necessary permits or dispensations quickly.
In cooperation with the Future City foundation, Anita Nijboer is co-author of the book “Smart en leefbaar, belangen borgen in de digitaliserende gemeente”, (Smart and liveable, defending interests in the increasingly digitalising municipality), which was published in 2018 and presented at the Smart City Expo in Barcelona in November 2018, and of the book “Een slimme stad, zo doe je dat”, (A Smart City, this is how you do it), in which she presented, among other things, a model by law for the smart city, which municipalities may use to regulate smart city technology. Via a “city deal” that was concluded between the Future City foundation and the Dutch Ministry of the Interior, the model bylaw is being tested in practice. Anita Nijboer has recently become a member of the Advisory Board to this city deal of the Ministry of the Interior.
Permanent lecturer's positions

Anita has various publications to her name and is co-author of the book 'Het recht van kabels en leidingen' (The law on cables and pipes), published in 2009, and of the book 'Smart en leefbaar, belangen borgen in de digitaliserende gemeente' (Smart and liveable, defending interests in the increasingly digitalising municipality), which was published in 2018 and presented at the Smart City Expo in Barcelona.
