Profile
Tim Wilms is an attorney in our Labour & Employment practice group. Tim advises and litigates on various employment-law issues, including reorganizations and restructuring operations, individual dismissals and matters regarding directors. He represents national and international businesses and his practice covers all aspects of employment law.
Besides, Tim advises clients on various sports-law topics, including football transfers, player contracts, commercial contracts, sponsoring, and rules and regulations. He litigates for, inter alia, the Arbitration Committee of the KNVB (Royal Dutch Football Association), the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and the KNVB Licence Committee. Tim was a member of the team that wrote the report ‘Together We Set the Bar Higher’ for the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports in 2023, about governance and disciplinary law in sports and the functioning of the Institute for the Administration of Justice in Sports (Instituut Sportrechtspraak, “ISR”)).
Tim is one of the founders and editors of the scientific journal Voetbal- en Sportjuridische Zaken (Football and Sports Legal Matters). He is a member of the Vereniging Jonge Arbeidsrecht Advocaten (Young Employment Lawyers Association) and of the Vereniging voor Sport en Recht (Sports and Law Association). In 2021 he completed the postgraduate Grotius labour law course cum laude (with honours).
