His focus includes new legislation such as the Data Act, and cybersecurity rules (NIS2, DORA and CRA). As a member of theĀ cyber incident response team at Kennedy Van der Laan, Robert also supports the handling of cyber incidents, and assists data holders when faced with data disclosure requests from cloud users or government authorities.
In addition, Robert specializes in consumer law matters and is regularly involved in a wide range of commercial disputes, including stalled or failed IT projects and litigation under the Dutch collective actions regime (WAMCA).
Robert was seconded at a global IT service provider, and knows how to navigate large organizations. In 2024, he completed the VIRA/Grotius postgraduate specialization program in IT, Data & Law (cum laude). In addition to his work as a lawyer, he publishes on developments at the intersection of technology and law.
