Veerle specializes in Information Technology and Litigation & Arbitration. Veerle almost exclusively handles disputes. She focusses on litigating complex and/or cross border commercial and IT related disputes in both the regular courts and appeal courts as well as arbitration. Veerle also provides strategical advise about and assist clients in resolving disputes out of court, either or not through alternative dispute resolution methods. Due to her extensive experience in resolving and litigating disputes Veerle is able to keep dispute resolution manageable and comprehensible, while keeping an eye on the interests that are at stake within the organization. In addition to handling commercial and IT related disputes Veerle advises and litigates about e-commerce and consumer rights, e.g. in the context of enforcement actions of supervisory authorities and other strategic proceedings.

- Defending an international professional sports federation in a cross border litigation regarding an alleged infringement of competition law in the context of price management.
- Assisting a client in resolving a dispute regarding an IT development and implementation project after non-acceptance of an interim delivery (out of court).
- Handling multiple cross border litigations (preliminary relief proceedings, appeal proceedings and proceedings on the merits) with respect to the termination of a distribution relationship or a SaaS solution.
- Defending a client in the agro-business sector in a complex litigation regarding the aftermath of an incident and the subsequent termination of a long term relationship with one of its producers.
- Representing a client in proceedings to challenge an administrative fine imposed by the Authority or Consumer an Markets (ACM) in the context of alleged breaches of consumer law.
