Marnix van Berckel Smit

Marnix van Berckel Smit is an attorney at the Labour & Employment practice group. He is active in all aspects of employment law and advises  and litigates on behalf of employers, employees and works councils. During his master’s in Employment Law at Leiden University, Marnix developed a passion for the unique dynamics between employers and employees within employment law and employee co-determination.

In his daily practice, Marnix assists both national and international clients with complex matters, particularly in the areas of dismissal law, illness and reintegration, reorganizations, and employee co-determination. He primarily works with clients in the financial sector, (medical) technology, and logistics.

In addition, Marnix regularly writes about inappropriate behavior in the workplace and recently published an article on the impact of addiction issues in dismissal cases.
