Julian den Hertog
Julian is an attorney in the Banking & Finance practice group.
As part of Kennedy Van der Laan’s FinTech team, he advises innovative players in the financial sector – such as payment institutions, crypto companies and investment platforms – on regulatory matters, licensing procedures, and the legal framework surrounding financial technologies and products.
Julian is also closely involved with the Financial & Insolvency Litigation team. In that role, he represents financial institutions and other market participants in litigation concerning access to payment systems, insolvency-related disputes, and breaches of duty of care. He also has extensive knowledge of insolvency law and regularly advises on matters and proceedings involving the Court Approved Restructuring Plan Act (WHOA).
Julian studied Law at the University of Groningen and earned his master's degree in Private Law at the University of Amsterdam.
