As one of the founding partners. He leads the Intellectual Property practice. Alfred advises and litigates on the full spectrum of Intellectual Property. Alfred is renouned for his work regarding (online) trademark law, licensing and domain name issues, IT, Sportsmarketing and –sponsoring. His practice includes contentious and non-contentious work.
Alfred is one of the leading partners in the Customized Alliance for Nike, an international flexible network of reputable law firms with local expertise, designed and managed by Kennedy Van der Laan.
Alfred is a qualified arbitrator at SGOA (Dutch Foundation for the Settlement of Automation Disputes) and the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center. He is officer at the Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law Committee of the IBA (International Bar Association), where he previously chaired the Licensing Intellectual Property and International Treaties Subcommittee and the Trademark Subcommittee. Furthermore he is editor of ‘Computerrecht’ and co-founder of VIRA (Dutch Association for Computer Lawyers).
