Uitingszaken
Kennedy Van der Laan treedt op voor veel van de bekende Nederlandse media. Ons team bestaat uit zeer ervaren media-advocaten en verdedigt onder meer landelijke dagbladen De Volkskrant, Trouw en NRC, maar ook online / audiovisuele media van bijvoorbeeld Mediahuis, BNN-VARA, PowNed en KRO-NCRV. Daarbij speelt vaak de verhouding tussen vrijheid van meningsuiting en privacy en bescherming van persoonsgegevens. Internet
Ons team was betrokken bij veel van de procedures over internet tussenpersonen, met klanten als Facebook, Instagram, VodafoneZiggo en Dumpert. Wij zijn zeer ervaren in geschillen over takedown verzoeken, afgifte van persoonsgegevens en onderwerpen als hate speech, fake news en de (on)toelaatbaarheid van linken.
Mediaregulering
Wij adviseren en procederen voor onze mediaklanten over mediaregulering, vastgelegd in bijvoorbeeld de Mediawet, Telecommunicatiewet en Europese regelgeving. Issues als toetreding van commerciële en publieke omroepen, reclame en sponsoring, video-on-demand diensten, publiek-private samenwerking en ownership restricties.
