Medische hulpmiddelen
Medische hulpmiddelen zijn essentieel bij het leveren van goede zorg. De definitie van medische hulpmiddelen is heel breed en het varieert van rolstoelen en pleisters tot implantaten en CT scanners. Ook software en gezondheidsapps kunnen kwalificeren als medisch hulpmiddel. De kwaliteit, veiligheid en toegang tot de markt van medische hulpmiddelen ligt vast in nationale en Europese wet- en regelgeving. Deze regels richten zich o.a. op fabrikanten, importeurs, distributeurs en gemachtigden.
Implementatie Medical Devices Regulation
De coronapandemie heeft geleid tot een uitstel van de implementatiedatum van de Verordening Medische Hulpmiddelen (Medical Devices Regulation, oftewel MDR) die de Richtlijn Medische Hulpmiddelen uit 1993 vervangt. De MDR is op 26 mei 2021 in werking getreden. De datum waarop de nieuwe verordening voor in-vitro diagnostica (IVDR) van toepassing wordt, blijft 26 mei 2022.

Team Gezondheidszorg
Fenna van Dijk en Eline Lam beschikken over gedegen kennis en ervaring op het gebied van medische hulpmiddelen. Het team adviseert over vragen omtrent de toegang tot de markt en vergunningen, het doen van klinisch onderzoek, vragen over gunstbetoon, etikettering en reclame.
