Mollie, one of the fastest-growing payment service providers in Europe, raised EUR 665 million in its Series C funding round. The round values Mollie at EUR 5.4 billion, making Mollie one of the top five most valuable privately-held fintech companies in Europe, and one of the top 20 in the world.
The round was led by funds managed by Blackstone’s growth equity investing business, and the round included HMI Capital, EQT Growth, General Atlantic and Alkeon Capital.
The deal team of Kennedy Van der Laan consisted of Gaby Heere and Lukas Suijkerbuijk. Kennedy Van der Laan worked together with Lauren Creel of Cooley LLP on the investment of HMI Capital.
