Collaborations in Healthcare
Collaboration is part of the healthcare sector. In recent years, the number of joint ventures in healthcare has been increasing steadily. Intersectoral collaborations, supply chain or network collaborations, regional collaborations, collaborations in emergency care or outside office hours, exchange of expertise or consultation of other specialists, are all variants of collaborations that are typical for the healthcare sector.
Collaboration can be of great benefit to healthcare institutions. Important driving forces for collaboration are efficiency, bundling knowledge, efficient deployment of scarce personnel and organizing the right care in the right place.
Fenna van Dijk and Eline Lam are experts in the field of collaboration in healthcare. They advise healthcare institutions on the most appropriate form of collaboration and its legal consequences. They also assist in the implementation of collaborations.
Common activities of Fenna and Eline are the incorporation of cooperative associations, the drafting of joint venture agreements, the supervision of joint ventures and the supervision of mergers and takeovers in the healthcare sector.

In an accessible way, this handbook deals with the corporate, tax, legal and organizational aspects that are involved when parties in the healthcare decide to join forces. This book was inspired by the drastic changes in the Dutch healthcare sector, which call increasingly for collaborations and joint ventures.
