Throughout 2024, considerable attention was given to the growing influence of big tech and the increasing dependence of clients on their IT providers. This gave rise to legal debates on topics such as license renewals at allegedly exorbitant prices, procurement issues related to exclusive maintenance rights, and the obligations of partners following the termination of agreements. Cyber incidents and the liability of crypto platforms also remained key themes in case law. Additionally, the usual discussions surrounding the interpretation of IT contracts and the responsibilities of IT suppliers were once again addressed.
