Demi Rietveld

Demi is an attorney at law at the Privacy & Regulated Markets practice group. She specialises in privacy and data protection law and related areas, including AI. Demi has extensive experience advising on compliance matters, new technologies, and cyber incidents. She also regularly litigates and represents clients in enforcement proceedings. Through several secondments with clients, Demi has additionally gained valuable in‑house experience.

Demi began her career in 2020 at an international law firm. Since 2026, she has been working as a lawyer at Kennedy Van der Laan.

Demi completed the VPR‑A postgraduate specialisation programme in Privacy and Data Protection Law at Leiden University, graduating cum laude. She is also a member of Jonge Privacy Advocaten Nederland (JPAN) and Vereniging Privacy Recht (VPR).
