The restaurant Inter Scaldes, which won three Michelin stars, was taken over by Pillows Hotels. Since 1968 Inter Scaldes restaurant has been located in a former residence of the Royal Military Police in Kruiningen, Zeeland. This is the only restaurant in the Netherlands with its own helicopter landing pad. The prize-winning restaurant and appurtenant boutique hotel are now part of Pillows Hotels, a division of Amerborgh.
The current chef Jannis Brevet and hostess Claudia Brevet will stop working at the three-star restaurant in Kruiningen in September and will hand it over to chef Jeroen Achtien and Sanne Achtien. At present Jeroen Achtien is still a chef in a hotel in the Swiss Vitznau, where he is responsible for a two-star restaurant. For the time being, Brevet will remain involved as an advisor to the new managers of Inter Scaldes, Jeroen and Sanne Achtien.
