The Kerry Group, a publicly traded food company headquartered in Ireland, recently acquired Niacet Group, a US-based producer of organic salt with significant material operations in The Netherlands. Niacet Group has customers in over 75 countries and manufacturing sites in Niagara Falls (USA) and Tiel (The Netherlands). Management commented that the addition of Niacet’s complementary capabilities will enhance Kerry’s food protection and preservation strategy to offer new products and technologies in a broader market. The transaction is still subject to satisfaction of customary conditions.
