On 9 April 2026, the Court of Amsterdam ruled that Talpa's termination of its cooperation with Yvonne Coldeweijer had been legally invalid. This means that Talpa must continue performing the contract and that Coldeweijer remains entitled to her fee.
Coldeweijer signed a contract with Talpa in April 2025, in which the parties agreed that she would host a juice show on the channel Net5. She would also report all her current and newsworthy juice to Talpa exclusively. In December 2025, Talpa announced that it was unable to bring together a suitable editorial and production team around‑ Coldeweijer. For that reason, Talpa stated its wish to terminate the cooperation in consultation. The parties had talks, but no final solution was found. In February 2026, Coldeweijer then reappeared on her own Instagram channel, where she published juice about Lil’ Kleine and Selma Omari. Talpa took this as a signal that Coldeweijer intended to go on independently and concluded that their cooperation had ended. Talpa ceased its monthly payment of fees.
Coldeweijer disagreed with this and brought preliminary relief proceedings against Talpa.
The Court held that Talpa’s termination of the contract had not been legally valid, because Talpa had not given Coldeweijer notice of default first. Therefore, the contract continues as before and both parties have to keep performing their obligations. Talpa has to keep paying Coldeweijer’s monthly fees, including the unpaid fees of February and March 2026. Coldeweijer, for her part, has to comply with the exclusivity arrangements agreed. This means she can no longer publish any juice through her own Instagram channel. If she does, she risks Talpa's valid termination of the contract after all.
