Marize Verhagen
Marize combines science with practice and specializes in (collective) labour law. As a professional support lawyer at the Employment Law practice group, she works on cases and is the contact for subjects regarding know-how and knowledge management. She also works as a lecturer in the Employment Law and Social Policy group at Utrecht University. She teaches several subjects, is a thesis supervisor, and is involved in the annual national Max Rood employment law moot court competition. In the academic year 2016/2017, she also started as a doctoral candidate. Her doctoral research relates to the collective protection of interests of employees, and the deviation from statutory provisions in peius.
Besides her work at UU and Kennedy van der Laan, she is the editorial secretary of the journal Tijdschrift Recht en Arbeid (TRA).
