Innovation Director only Dutch person in the Top 10 “Innovative Individuals of Europe”
Jeroen Zweers, Innovation Director at Kennedy Van der Laan, has been nominated as the first and only Dutch person for the 11th edition of the “FT European Innovator of the Year Award”. The prize is awarded by the Financial Times to the most influential innovator within the European legal sector. This nomination brings Jeroen among the Top 10 of “Innovative Individuals of Europe”, part of the annual Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Report to be published in October.
Jeroen Zweers thanks this nomination to, inter alia, his work as Innovation Director at Kennedy Van der Laan and to his role as co-founder of Dutch Legal Tech, the platform for legal innovation in the Netherlands.
Second Nomination for Kennedy Van der Laan
Besides the nomination of Jeroen Zweers, Kennedy Van der Laan has also been nominated, for the second time in the past three years, for the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards. In the category “Innovation in New Model Legal Businesses” the law firm has been awarded a nomination for its “Alliance Community for Nike”. The online community is part of the Customized Alliance for Nike launched in 2014 and works as a virtual law firm. Through the platform Nike communicates with all associated law firms in the Alliance, as do the attorneys between themselves. This way mutual relations are strengthened, knowledge sharing intensifies and project management becomes more efficient.
On 5 October 2016 the winners of the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards will be announced during the Awards Dinner in the Natural History Museum in London.
The Lawyer Business Leadership Awards 2016
Earlier this year it was already announced that Kennedy Van der Laan is also on the short-list of The Lawyer Business Leadership Awards 2016 with the Alliance Community for Nike. The finals of these awards will be on 28 September 2016 in The Brewery in London.
